It’s not long to go until our next webinar of the series, “Reality Check: How 2024 Retail Media Predictions Have Held Up So Far” which follows our first two webinars of the series “Mastering retail media with Boots Media Group: A deep dive into the fundamentals” and “Assessing the size of the retail media prize”.
What can I expect from the next webinar of the series?
In this third webinar of the series, we pause to reflect on the retail media predictions made at the beginning of 2024. Three quarters into the year, it’s time to assess how these forecasts have fared against the evolving landscape of retail media. Our panel of industry experts will review key trends, analyse what’s been accurate, and discuss what the remainder of the year might have in store.
Meet the speakers
Emma Dean
Working with the founders to build SMG from the bottom up, Emma was fortunate enough to experience the many different facets of an ever-changing business and industry. Starting her career in a commercial role within a partnership in-house at Sainsbury's, building their retail media proposition whilst simultaneously building FMCG brand trust, knowledge, and ultimate growth in the channel. Emma broadened her retail side expertise into the travel retail sector when heading up a partnership on-site at Heathrow.
Emma has worked with key stakeholders from the UK's retailers, media owners, and top FMCG's in developing and leading SMG's Capture agency. More recently, Emma has developed her career in the people, culture, and capability sector, in a centralised position within SMG.

Georgina Evenden
Georgina has been helping brands build effective media campaigns for over 15 years. Starting her career in partnerships for the live entertainment industry, Georgina understood early on that the best results come from true collaboration and integration.
An opportunity to develop Capture’s media proposition nearly 10 years ago led to an exciting three years of working hand-in-hand with retailers and brands to push the retail media agenda and ensure it is considered from the infancy of brand planning.
Since then, her experience across a number of agencies, strategically planning media campaigns across various categories, has enabled a well-rounded view of how to bring it all together to deliver the best results; from retail media and E-commerce through to digital and ATL.
Georgina rejoined SMG this year to head up the Capture agency business, which exists to help FMCG brands make the right choices across the commerce media landscape, buy campaigns efficiently, and deliver robust, consistent reporting to understand exactly what works.
