As global retail media experts, we've been active in the retail media space in Europe since our inception in 2008. Recently, we've also expanded our efforts to include retailers in North America!

We're passionate about opportunities that connect both markets. In 2023, we launched the Retail Media Summit UK, the first-ever event dedicated to retail media in the UK. This event offers a cross-Atlantic view of the industry, providing the tools needed to elevate your retail media journey. Back to Cannes…

Cannes Lions topped our must-attend events for 2024 as it gathers global thought leaders from retail, FMCG, and media. We’re thrilled to meet our friends and partners from Europe and North America to discuss the future of retail media.

So, where in Cannes are we headed?

We’re thrilled to announce that Sean Crawford, SMG’s Managing Director, will take the stage at the Microsoft Beach Club on Wednesday afternoon. He will participate in a panel discussion about the future of omnichannel retail media. Sean will share his insights from over a decade at the SMG agency network, alongside industry stars like Paul Longo (Microsoft), Prateek Gupta (Omnicom Media Group UK), Alice Anson (Nectar360), and Marco Steinsieck (Sephora). The discussion will delve into the dynamic transformation of the retail media landscape and explore its integration across various channels, screens, and experiences.

We’re also excited to attend the Retail Media Changemakers Experience with the Path to Purchase Institute, the IAB, and Scala. Here, the IAB and P2PI will preview new research on in-store retail media, featuring insights from interviews with industry leaders and top Retail Media Networks and CPG brands. Our experience with UK retailers has shown us the powerful impact of in-store retail media in driving results for retailers, brands, and consumers. We’re eager to see this research as the North American market begins to unlock the potential of the store.

  • Several activations with our friends at Criteo, including "The Road Ahead for Europe" (in partnership with the IAB), the "Women in Commerce Experience," and "Where Retail Media Comes to Meet" aboard the Criteo Yacht.

  • Meetings with our partners and friends from Europe and North America, including the Ascendant Network, LiveRamp, MediaLink, AppsFlyer, PubMatic, and more!

We must admit, we’re also looking forward to spending our days discussing industry trends with our colleagues while enjoying the beautiful climate and scenery in Cannes. It’s our first trip to this festival, and we can’t wait to make the most of it!
