Retail Media Summit UK, a collaborative effort between SMG and the Path to Purchase Institute (P2PI), offers an exchange of new and innovative ideas that present a unique perspective on the world of retail media. We are so excited to offer an exciting agenda full of exceptional guest speakers who are experts in the retail media space!

Here's a sneak peek at what you can expect

The day will begin with opening remarks from our CEO, Sam Knights, Managing Director, Sean Crawford and retail expert Jessie Dowd, editorial director of P2PI. Then, we will debunk industry myths and spotlight the value and long-term growth potential of retail media. These talks will be led by specialists from SMG, Katie Streeter Hurle, and P2PI, Cyndi Loza. Afterward, we’ll hear about personalisation from Chris Riegel at Stratacache and from Tim Woollias at Pinterest, who will highlight emerging trends in commerce. Finishing out the morning, we’ll hear about the role interactive video plays in retail media from Dan Sands from Firework. Just before attendees break for lunch, SMG’s Lee LeFeuvre will share insights about the the role of omnichannel marketing in retail media.

“We are elated to bring the Retail Media Summit to the UK for the first time,” said SMG CEO Sam Knights. “After years of attending retail media events abroad, we at SMG know the value these gatherings provide, and it only made sense to bring them to the UK. Retail Media Summit UK will offer a chance for all of us to shape the future of this nascent industry and share learnings from the US to the UK.”

In the afternoon, we’ll be joined by a collection of exciting speakers for a panel about the evolving retail media industry. The discussion will feature insights from Threefold’s Rosie Houston, David Berube from UNFI, Michael Schuh from Kroger Precision Marketing, Jemma Hayley from John Lewis Partnership and James Chandler from IAB UK. Later, we will enter the world of measurement, data and analytics, featuring Naomi Yonge from LiveRamp, Katelyn Necati of LiveRamp UK, Claire O’Brien from ISBA, Ross Paterson from TikTok, Natalie Collins from Dunnhumby and our very own Bianca Hall!

Moving through the day, we’ll delve further into omnichannel marketing and in-store digitisation in a presentation from Paul Brenner of Vibenomics. Then in a panel discussion, Pladis Global’s Michele Dainty, Lee Roberts of Dunnhumby and Neil Robins of Kenvue will share confessions form the retail media trenches. Later, a conversation about retail media tech from Clinch’s Chris Grimsey and Kroger Precision Marketing’s Michael Schuh returns to share insights about retail media’s higher purpose.

Finally, the summit will conclude with closing remarks from CEO Sam Knights, who will intro an exciting networking reception sure to feature discussions around the higher purpose of retail media and the role that it plays in the broader landscape of media and advertising.
