Mental Health Awareness week

This week is Mental Health Awareness week and this year the theme is nature. Throughout the multiple lockdowns, nature played a pivotal role in supporting our mental health by getting outside and taking part in plenty of walks surrounded by green space.

This week we will be encouraging our colleagues to connect with nature and how this positively impacts our mental health by providing them with our top tips, reading materials, and virtual workshops.

Take a look at how some of our colleagues have been connecting with nature this week...

(left to right) "I really enjoy my commute much more now that I cycle to work, especially since I upgraded my bike a few months ago with the Cycle to Work Scheme. I've adapted my route slightly so it's less life-threatening alongside the busy traffic, and instead cuts through the beautiful Burgess Park! It also means I get to greet the ducks a good morning as I pass" Laura Martin on the Capture Team.

Jane, on the Creative team, met some of her new neighbours whilst on a walk this week in the form of Alpacas and baby Goslings!

Helena Morgan has also been busy outdoors "a friend of mine is hand-rearing some lambs at the moment and I have been helping out with feeding. So this is pic is of Simmy the lamb having her lunch! The second image is of our dog Ripple when I took her for a walk up to the bluebell woods over lunch yesterday"
