5 minutes with Matt, a Senior Client Executive at Lobster

When did you join SMG? March 2019

Describe your role in a nutshell.. As a Senior Client Executive I am on the outer shell of the complex creature that is Lobster. I and the rest of the Client Team act as the first point of contact for our clients and as the focal point for our internal teams. Together we work consistently to help brands better understand the complex landscape of shopper marketing and ultimately see better return on investment.

Tell us what you enjoy most about working here?

Despite it's success Lobster is still in its infancy and constantly evolving for the better. To feel that your voice is of equal importance in that process is something truly special.

What aspects of your role keep you challenged and curious? What is possible in Shopper gets better and better every year. With new innovation in both digital and targeting we can look to tell people exactly what they want to hear about, exactly when they want to hear about it. Being involved in such a dynamic media landscape is not only fascinating but is also challenging.  

Which of the four SMG values resonates most with you and why? Stay Foolish, because no matter how foolish your idea may be, you'll always have the last laugh once you prove the world wrong. SMG encourages creative thinking, the easy route is not always the best!

What is the most useful piece of advice you've received since joining SMG?

"If you put love in your work you will never have to work again"
